Neuroscience - Weight Lifting For Just 20 Minutes A Day Seems to
Boost Memory, Benefiting Beginners
"Acute aerobic exercise can be beneficial to episodic memory. This benefit
may occur because exercise produces a similar physiological response as
physical stressors. When administered during consolidation, acute stress,
both physical and psychological, consistently enhances episodic memory,
particularly memory for emotional materials." |

r - What's a skill you've learned that has improved your daily life?
"Something I would read up on is practicing Mindfulness. In graduate
school, I wrote a whole paper on its benefits of relieving stress. When one
fails to manage stress, it can be the start of some dangerous health risk
factors such as high cholesterol, heart disease, and even strokes" |

wikihow - How to Exercise Facial Muscles
"A workout regime is an excellent way to tone your muscles, lose inches and
control skin from sagging as you age. A good diet, plenty of water and an
exercise routine can make you look years younger than you are. Doing facial
exercises, or facial yoga, is a natural way to make your face look younger
by firming muscles and reducing wrinkles. There are approximately 50
muscles in your face, and exercising them has the added benefit of helping
eye strain and releasing neck and facial tension. Incorporate this short facial
workout into your everyday routine and your skin and muscles may start to
look tighter in just a few weeks." |

"So to avoid procrastinating, I started making a conscious effort to recognize
and remind myself that even though I might not want to do these things in
the moment, they are ultimately the things that give me a sense of accomp-
lishment and happiness in the long term." |

y - Want to Ditch Your Flabby Belly? 3 Expert Tips From a CrossFit Coach
"How do you put on muscle? Jade recommends large compound barbell
movements. We're talking squats, lunges, deadlifts, thrusters (squat-to-
overhead press), shoulder presses, barbell rows, as well as bodyweight
exercises like strict pull-ups and push-ups. Don't be afraid to go heavy
on the weights! Instead of doing tons of reps with five-pound dumbbells,
using a barbell will save time and get results faster and more effectively." |

r - Merely desiring to alter your personality is not enough
"Merely desiring to alter your personality is not enough, and may backfire
unless you take concrete action to change, suggests a new study. Failing to
support one's goals with concrete action appears to backfire, leading to
personality drift in the opposite direction to what was desired." |
