|
|
Jos jedna stvar za svisnut od muke:
"Each ART (ART = Arlington Transit, Virginia) bus has a two-place bike
rack that will hold standard length bicycles. Bikes ride free with the ART
passenger. This can be an easy way to meet your friends across town for
a ride, extend your riding horizons, get home if you have a flat, or take
your bike for maintenance"
http://www.commuterpage.com/ART/bikeonart.htm

Cycling: Wearing helmets 'more dangerous'
"Dr Walker thinks the reason drivers give less room to cyclists wearing
helmets is because they see them as "Lycra-clad street warriors" and
believe they are more predictable than those without." |

Slashdot: Rob Levin, lilo of FreeNode, Passes
On the 12th September Rob Levin, known to many as Freenode's
lilo, was hit by a car while riding his bike. He suffered head injuries and
passed away in hospital on the 16th.
In March, Richard Rauch died in a similar bike accident too:
"Richard was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a drunk driver; he
eventually died from his injuries." |

Cool site.
Have a look at this: Bicycling Meditations
"Welcome to my Bicyling Meditation pages. This site is for those who are members of the "Congregation of the Spoked Wheel" - those who sit in meditation not just in the pew or on a zafu, but the saddles of their bikes." |

Reddit: A bicycle with no hubs in its wheels?
"Looks more like a design study than a working prototype. Assuming that
can support a person's weight, how can that front wheel possibly be stable
at any speed?" |

Bike helmet crushed, but head fine
"A white paneled delivery truck ran over a UW-Madison graduate student's
head on Division Street Friday afternoon and, except for a concussion, he
wasn't hurt." |

Bicycles beat subway as fastest mode of travel in New York City
"The starting line — at a Brooklyn cafe — had the cyclist off and pedaling
the moment the race began. The subway rider, though, had to use his two
feet first to get to the station and then transfer to a bus; the car contestant
wasted precious minutes waiting for a cab." |

How To Ride Your Bike To Work
"You daily commute can also turn into a very fun part of your day. My morning
ride leaves me invigorated and ready for work, in a way no cup of coffee ever
could, and the stress of the day seems to melt away on the bike ride home." |
