Sugababes: Taller in More Ways
I just love it. Perfect pop album, almost like music from the '80s. There is
not a single bad song - the whole album is exceptional. Brilliant production,
catchy choruses and beautiful lyrics. |

Sugababes su zakon!
Ali znao sam ... da ce se netko sjetiti i napraviti najpametniju stvar koja se
danas moze napraviti u vezi muzike: Nouvelle Vague
.
A onda jos malo na temu Nouvelle Vague - recenzija u Vecernjaku.

Though no-one can give a definitive number, Thriller is considered by
most all accounts to be the best selling album of all-time... |

How The BEATLES Conquered America
"On December 10th - CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite feels that a
nation recovering from the tragedy might be warmed by a light-hearted
story. He recalls that there had been a fun story from England about
some long-haired musicians that had been shelved because of the events
in Dallas."
"Executives at Capitol Records HQ in Los Angeles discover that a major
Washington radio station is giving very heavy airplay to an imported copy
of a record not due for release for another month. Anxious that this
breach will damage its carefully timed game-plan - the first reaction of
the record company is to request that the station stops playing the
record. When the station indignantly refuses - the record company even
hires an attorney to threaten a "cease and desist" order on the defiant
station. Fortunately for the record company - and the Beatles - a wiser
decision is made…" |

Bestov (Best of) Les Rita Mitsouko
.
Ha, Ha: "The chanteuse goes by the name of Catherine Ringer and it's a bit
like listening to Alison Moyet on helium - great power and a mindboggling range."
Original, interesting, vivid, eccentric but cute - very, very good music indeed!

consumerist.com - How I Became A Music Pirate
"There I sat, a loyal music fan who has shelled out actual money to a business
that is supposed to be having financial problems, and the best they can do
is tell me to wander the streets of Seattle looking for different internet
providers who might allow me to download the music that I have already
paid for, music that I have spent the better part of three house trying to
listen to, and which is still unusable?
How on earth have things come to this?!?!?!
Honestly, if this is the best you can do, you're business is in really, really
serious trouble." |

I saw today 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' on VH1 and seeing it reminded me I've
bought that CD back then. Heck. Even 'Train in Vain' was covered, 'No more
I love You's' is pure magic and the whole album provides a truly outstanding
musical experience.

Watching the interview with Steve & Bill reminded me I have that album
and I haven't listened to it for maybe more than 10 years. It's not that I
didn't like it - after all I bought it first on tape, back in the late seventies
and then in the eighties on vinyl and finally at the start of nineties I have
bought it on CD - so I do probably like this album.
Few moments ago I converted it to mp3. Me and this album, we have very
long memories together!

What do increased sales of Dark Side of The Moon tell us?
"According to the band's site, the album "has sold approximately 34m
copies worldwide". Though to say that is to skim over the fact that it
remained in the US top 100 for 1,558 weeks - just two weeks short of
three decades." |

Another collection thet went from records to CDs to MP3s. This is my first
ever Blondie record I bought when I was 13 or so: The Best of Blondie.
So I just couldn help continuing from there:
I never bought Autoamerican because I've read somewhere it wasn't any
good. Now I'm sorry. |

And I was just in the middle of this book, a narrative of the creation of their

had.

That was not the only naive mistake that I made; I mistook the metal/nor-

"Salsa Tequila is a novelty song by Norwegian comedian Anders Nilsen in
Spanish. He doesn't speak Spanish, as he admits in the song by saying
'No hablo espanol' (I do not speak Spanish). To make the song even catchier,
he uses accordion and saxophone mixes noting their usage had become
prevalent in many recent hits. The song is written and produced by Nilsen,
and was released in 2014 on Sony Music. It was a huge commercial success
in Norway and the Netherlands and has charted in Belgium. The lyric music
video is directed by Galvan Mehidi" |

r - Tchaikovsky's Suicide Note?
"After he was saved his brother Modest told him to GTFO of Russia so he
went to Paris to chill for a while and regrouped. This is where he began
composing the 4th I believe. The triumphant intruduction of the brass
instruments will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The
sound of him getting his life back on track. He's one of the most interesting
of all classical composers. Had a rich widow that would give him money so
he could compose freely, but only on the condition they could never meet." |

y - Backspin: Garbage discusses Shirley Manson's see-through Grammy
dress, spending $200,000 on booze, and how a Bowie song brought them
back together
"This sounds like a lie, but this is the God's honest truth: I had zero idea it was
see-through," Manson says now of the infamous outfit. "I look at photos now
and go, 'I turned up for the Grammys in that?' It's just like, Jesus Christ, what
was I thinking? I was just fixated on the fact that I thought it was really smart
to advertise our record on the Grammy red carpet, because I think we knew
that we were never going to end up on the red carpet again with Album of the
Year. I had no idea." |

Y! - Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon: Track By Track

"In March 1973, the London quartet Pink Floyd released The Dark Side of
the Moon, an enigmatic but richly melodic concept album about madness
and mortality. Since emerging during the 1967 'summer of love' with its
proto-psychedelic debut, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Pink Floyd endured
the departure of troubled frontman Syd Barrett and released a series of
expansive, improvisatory albums that made it a rising star of the progressive
rock movement. In a matter of weeks, however, Dark Side transformed the
members of Pink Floyd into transatlantic superstars, despite the band's
aversion to interviews or appearing on its album covers." |

Y! - The Lowlist: Blondie's Parallel Lines - the album that defined New Wave"
"Fresh out of the CBGBs punk scene, the band weren't the greatest musicians,
according to Chapman. 'The only great musician among them was Frankie
Infante,' he said. 'The rest of them were all over the bloody place... Clem
Burke had all the right ideas, but he had no sense of timing. I mean, he had
a lot of ability, but I always felt he was trying too hard. If you're going to use
the Keith Moon approach, you'd better be able to pull it off, because if you
don't it's just going to be a shambles'." |
